Restoring abandoned tracks is a volunteer effort and we are always looking for helpers to join our group and lend expertise.
Our work is a mixture of restoring rivers and woodlands by planting trees and shrubs and making walking tracks.
We welcome any comments about your experience of walking the tracks or your Kerikeri visit.

The Author. Bob Bingham walks Kerikeri daily and helped open a long lost track on the Wairoa stream. Having nearly completed that, he was amazed to discover a second track in the near centre of town that had been abandoned thirty years ago. Reopening it has been an enjoyable challenge full of local history. http://www.climateoutcome.kiwi.nz/the-author-bob-bingham.html
Many people support the work of restoring tracks and replanting the river banks and woodlands. 70% of our effort goes in to planting trees to provide food for our birds and replace some of the major trees that the loggers felled.
We welcome donations to buy trees and materials and our bank account is at Westpac. 03.0394.0129164.000. Reference. Kerikeri Walkways. Thank you for your support. |
